Mark and Jacky Allan arrived in Dubai in August 2004 intent on establishing a similar business model to their successful London operation. With an impressive CV and a who’s who of formerly supplied blue chip London clientele, they set up a processing factory in Jebel Ali with a view to supplying Dubai’s elite Five Star hotels with the finest fish and seafood available from all over the world.
Rapid progress of sales and expansion into buying on the local fish market saw 100% year on year growth for the first two years earning the company a solid reputation for delivering on time and with excellence. In November 2006, Wet Fish was acknowledged by Lloyds Tsb Bank as the inaugural winner of their Small Business of the year award.
This further enhanced their growing reputation and allowed the move into airline and hypermarket supply. Today, Wet Fish distributes all across the UAE with local and imported fish and seafood delicacies.
